Abstract
Inflammatory pseudotumor of lymph nodes represents an unusual cause of lymphadenitis of unknown etiology. At the time of biopsy, none of the patients was suspected for luetic infection. In summary, I report a case of syphilitic cervical lymphadenopathy without accompanying signs on the skin or mucosa. Subcurative, short-term antibiotic therapy may mask the manifestation of syphilis. Otolaryngologists should still keep syphilitic cervical lymphadenopathy in mind in the differential diagnosis of neck masses.
